About Privacy FAQ Contact

Most “terms of use” provide information in a way that actually discourages users from reading.

We tried to do something different: to honestly and as clearly as possible explain how our website works.

No browser cookies

You won’t see an alert pop-up window asking you to review and accept cookie settings. It’s because in mid-2022, we stopped using cookies completely.

Contrary to 99% of other websites, we offer a 100% cookie-free experience. We don’t track your activity and don’t collect any information about you.

We are focused on providing helpful information for our readers, and we are happy if you find it on our website. It’s the only measure that counts.

You can check it out for yourself. Click on a lock icon in the browser’s address bar and find the “Cookies” section in the drop-down menu.

Ebook Friendly - no browser cookies

Our site is part of the Amazon and Skimlinks affiliate marketing programs, in which publishers earn small fees by recommending products from online stores.

When you click a link on our website leading to a product on Amazon, we have a chance to earn a small referral fee, usually between 1% and 4%. For instance, if you buy a Kindle case that costs $11.99, we will earn $0.48.

Affiliate marketing is used not only by hundreds of thousands of smaller websites but also by leading news sites such as Forbes or The New York Times.

How to recognize affiliate links

Each of our posts that include affiliate links is clearly marked by a disclosure right below the title: “If you buy an item via this post, we may get a small affiliate fee.”

We also earn referral fees from links placed in “Featured” boxes.

You can easily recognize affiliate links on our site:

  • Amazon – an affiliate link includes one of the following elements (usually at the end): ?tag=efly or &tag=efly. Links are directing to the main Amazon store at amazon.com.
  • Skimlinks – an affiliate link starts with go.redirectingat.com. We use Skimlinks to earn money from recommending products offered on Etsy, eBay, Best Buy, Redbubble, Society6, Uncommon Goods, or Not on the High Street.

Amazon, Kindle, Barnes & Noble, Nook, Kobo, Apple graphics, logos, and images are trademarks or trade dress of respective companies. All other trademarks that appear on this site are the property of their respective owners.
